Based on last season and expectations for this year, although a bowl berth and ultimately a humiliating bowl loss, SMU football 2010 was a step backwards. Next season the bar is high with a returning o-line and d-line, quarterback, runningback and "most" skill players back with a young group coming in highly touted. Give army credit but the qb made some bad plays today as this was a very winnable game/opponent.

Agree. No real improvement, especially on offensive side this year.

Special teams was far worse than the offense, FG attempts, punt returns, kickoffs/kickoff coverage were all an adventure (being generous) and was largely responsible for our field position problems this season. McKnight really failed with that group this season.

I get more excited when we don't attempt to fair catch/return a punt than I do when we score a TD.
