Whats getting old is abandoning the traditions which connect myself (2002 alum) to the people if front of me (50s alumni), who wanted to know why we were wearing black...

They were awful...

Let Orsini know about the Black Jersey thing. My guess is they will listen to a reasonable expressed opinion. Remember, the 1976 uniforms of Ron Meyer were radical at the time. They were not designed to attract alumni but recruits.

I am not a fan of black (or pink or rainbow or green or any other non SMU colors) and hope we never wear them again. But we don't run the program and can only express our opinions to those that do. So quit whining on this board about something not a one of us can do a thing about and take your complaints to the SMU admin.

Now can we get back to gripping about big or tiny horses?

On that note....why couldn't peruna run he field...I had promised my nieces they would see him, of course since we didn't score in the first half we had a long time to wait and see...

I did e-mail Orsini, I get more far quicker responses from Turner than I do from him...

My father, who has given his career to the Armed Forces, called the "tribute" "confusing and ultimately embarrassing to whoever set it up." He said it "doesn't make sense" to wear black jerseys for supporting the Armed Forces because "the association with the color black was only made because West Point's football team wears black" and said that the school should put a little more time and effort into making special uniforms to wear for a tribute.

His final thought on the matter: "It was a slap in the face. If they really wanted to pay tribute to the Armed Forces, how about coming out in a regular uniform and making the game against West Point the most important part of the day, instead of changing the uniforms and not taking the game as seriously."

Now if they want to bring back the blue jerseys....

If we add feathers on them like Oregon, we can sell more Jerseys and combine this with Perunagate and have the black "Horse Feathers Jersey".

I hate that. They do that on the Texas Tech board all the time.

If they didn't do it, I'd probably be ok with, though.

Mascot and Jerseys -- I guess this will go on until Spring ball. OH boy

The thing I really would complain or [deleted] about is the 11am start. Did not like that at all..
