Ok =- so i was told by jj, as was everyone else at the nyc mustang club event, that there were no black unis - obviously, things worked out a bit different
next - i thot the look was awful
next - i am ok with black unis - look at VT tron unis - the black helmet with white pony on it that dutch showed was cool and would have gone well with black pants - just throwing on a black jersey was not a good look

that black helmet with a white or red mustang without an outline would have been awesome

good point, those helmets weren't all that great, but the one without the disgusting white outline was not bad looking in my opinion

I don't think they were that bad close up, I was more referring to that at any distance you can't see the pony or tell what it is. It looks like a red blob on the helmet. I think you have to go white or have a white outline to be seen.

We have had school colors for a reason for many years. If the school colors are changed to black so be it. In lieu of any change of colors, we should stick with our red and blue. In fact we should really adapt the Harvard crimson and Yale blue which are supposed to be our historical colors and are quite different than what have come to use. In fact, using the real Harvard and Yale colors would be outstanding. Forget the black and remember it only as a one time tribute uniform.

everyone gets their panties in a wad over the black jerseys. they were a one time thing for fun. the players were probably excited to do something different. there was never talk of changing our school colors to black, or for those uniforms to be our feature uni.

yea that makes sense. it definitely kinda blends together. need to just stick with the pony express unis (with maybe a little extra length in the jersey so they don't look like midriffs...)

the players must of not been too excited by the black jerseys as they came out flat and over confident in the first half.... I personally don't want to see us wearing black, orange, purple, maroon, or green for that matter.
