true story: in December 2009, a group of ponyfans were on the bus to Pearl Harbor. The group included yours truly, some of the usual suspects, and the Mustang Club president. At one point, there was an eerie silence. The reason for the silence? Most of us were on ponyfans on our phone

LI is by no means a replacement for a message board full of die-hards. It’s just an efficient way to broadcast updates, events, stories, etc. For the very active fan it’s not that important. For the fan easing into Mustang loyalty, it can be great.

As far as updates/events/stories, most of that stuff is posted here. I know that the Atlanta area alumni have a yahoo group, and the admin regularly sends out stories about athletics.

There is a facebook and twitter page - there is also a main SMU Alumni LinkedIn with 5K members.

Good idea, but I just don't see it being utilized very much. Maybe I'm wrong..

can't hurt. i say go do it. maybe it will catch on. any additional impressions SMU can get benefit the program.

Listen Link is a great tool to sneak into places you don't really belong. Join groups etc, My son snagged Coke as a new client and others. It's All he uses to NW.

Were pretty much all face booked in if we want to say something in private I can text, call, or email just about anyone.

Make the page if you want. But there are so many ways to connect allready.
