Apparently, Brady Hoke from SDSU/Ball St. is the number 1 choice.

Peterson would flourish there. It is still going to take 3+ years to fix that defense no matter who is the coach.

Looking at their 13 commits for next year: 3 DE, 2 LB, 4 DB.
I'd say they'd like to get better on the defensive side of the ball, but yeah their D was atrocious.

This Should keep our top CB recruit he was pondering his Michigan offer...

Hoke just signed an extension, not that that matters.
And...I understand it's Michigan...but...it's Michigan. San Diego...Ann Arbor...man, the lure of the BCS and the big house is something else.
First thing I thought when I saw: somebody tell Richardson

What will be interesting is if they keep that offense with a new coach. The offense was explosive. If they scrap the offense and go with a pro-style, does Forcier become the starter (his skills match that type better than Robinson). Does Robinson transfer? True sophomore. He can redshift during the year he sits. Same is true with Forcier if they keep the current offense.

Hmm will be interesting. They also have a rising Soph QB named Devin Gardner, who was the no. 1 dual threat QB coming out last year. He saw the field a little bit last year, and was expected to contribute more this upcoming year.

Any chance that they give JJ a call?

overall I think michigan made a mistake here. I know rich rod never was a "michigan man" but when you hired him you had to understand he was bringing a whole different style of football not played in the big ten. When a coach is doing that it takes 4+ years to start clicking maybe even longer in a very good BCS conference. Rich ron is a good coach I think he just never clicked with the Alums.

Don't forget the compliance issues. The poor records alone without the compliance issues may have given him another year.

This doesn't pass the litmus test of being related to SMU or anything related to SMU's conference or SMU's opponents.
It must be banned. The author's careful calculation of using the recruiting angle to kind of make it SMU related is just ridiculous and unacceptable. Please leave all future non-SMU college football related stories to the respective sports web sites.
Thanks, sweetcakes!

I have no problem with the post, since it is an important topic for college football.
