See, when you're 13-0 and win the Rose Bowl, you just love to rally around the mascot and say to those who don't like it or want something different, or find it vaguely confusing or frightening:
"Go pound sand, pr*k. We'll kick your backside up and down the field and then you'll never forget the horned lizard/frog/gray alien thing."
It ain't about what you're running out behind, it's how many W's you put on the board. Va-Tech isn't gonna forget that stupid-as-hell Stanford tree anytime soon.
Now, que the on-going fight between our mascot factions that I've probably started.
