In all seriousness they'll get a slap on the wrist. Think about it though. How the hell else are they going to convince kids to spend four years of their lives in Lubbock without cheating?

About the violations: Text messages? Really? That's a major violation resulting in probation and scholarship reductions?
Not exactly the same as buying Reggie Bush a house, methinks. Violation? Definitely. It's the "major" part that is not quite registering with me.
I can't help but imagine if Texas or Alabama reported themselves with violations such as these that the official NCAA response would be "Hey guys, text their parents... as long as the kid doesn't know about it, it's all good."

its creepy first of all, but also it's inappropriate contact by an alumni to a recruit. any contact is a violation.
