I was bored so I took a look at the Tech board. It's always good for some humor IMO. More infighting that even Stallion and ModelT could pound out.

My observation of the day is that half the people over there claim that there in no rivalry with aTm, yet I can find no less than 10 threads about aTm on the first 1.5 pages.

They also seem a little pissed that Tuberville didn't hire the 'Stache before Baylor did. One person seems worried that they will now lose recruits to Baylor because of Bennett's recruiting prowess in Texas. Not sure about that one.

Also, how many of you know a guy like this:

I, along with many other people here in the Hub City have my rear truck window plastered will all sorts of decals for my youngest son's select baseball team, my oldest son's high school golf, etc. Of course, I have proudly displayed in the middle of my window one of those 1.5 foot square Double-T logos that allow you to see through them from inside. I got to thinking about this as we left lunch today and my brother asked "Is your Tech logo big enough?" I responded that he was not displaying ANY school spirit on his car.

So, I ask you here, how many of you proudly display some sort of Tech logo, license plate, license frame, Ex-student Assn, Red Raider Club...anything Tech related on your primary vehicle, and if so, what is it?

Me? I have the uber-big Double-T on my back window along with Red Raider Club 10-11 and Ex-Student Assn decals and a Texas Tech license frame. I think I have officially exceeded the logo limit.

18: Notes about moderator actions

When posters violate the aforementioned board rules or Terms & Conditions http://www.scout.com/3/terms-of-service.html, moderators will generally use the following steps (flagrant or repeated violations excepted):

Warning on the board within the post, or by Private Message (PM)
Temporary ban.
Permanent ban for repeat violation.

If you have a problem with a moderator’s action, you can discuss it with any moderator in a private message. Not on the board.


While there are a lot of “don’ts” in the rules, DO have fun joining in discussions with fellow Red Raiders and those who wish they were.

Let me just guess: Those of you married to your sister or brother; those with or without teeth; those possessing a fifth grade reading level and those that do not; those with a Dodge pickup and those with a Chevy, etc.

In other words, you will be summarily destroyed if you deviate from your pre-destined forum location upon initial account setup and login. Don't bother to try bouncing back and forth between them.

To be fair, if you were Tech....

1. You would currently have the #15 recruiting class.
2. For 2012, you would already have a top 3 LB committed (D. David) and be leading for the #1 RB (J. Gray) and the #2 QB (M. Davis) in the country.
3. You would look good in black uniforms.
4. You would be surrounded by much more attractive women on such a cold, blustery day.

I had a great time at the AF Bowl despite the outcome. Stay golden pony boys.

And that's where you lost all credibility.

I have to admit, #3 was funny.

And here I thought you were going to opine about Tech being put on 2 years probation by the NCAA for recruiting violations during Leach's tenure. Now we understand why Maryland took a pass on him. That in addition to suing his former employer. If the NCAA was looking under rocks when he was fired, it probably didn't help his being retained as head coach.

Does this put TTU are risk for the DP if they have another violation in the next two years (not asking to be projorative, just wonder if they now qualify as a potential DP candidate)?

Probably not. I'm sure the NCAA could spout some excuse about self-reporting, etc...
