1980 - the first touchdown in the 20-6 UT game. That was the moment you knew we had arrived on the national scene.

i am so ready for that again - i think it occurs again in 2012.

Probably the TD scored in the game against TCU that propelled SMU to the Rose Bowl--the fee earned paid off the school's indebtedness. I can't seem to find a digital copy!

All kidding aside, the SMU Mustang site did have part of the video streaming on their front page earlier this year--"The game of the century", played well prior to WWII.

Those are both good ones. I'm sure Doak had a big TD or two along the way as well.

Here is footage of the Bobby Wilson touchdown against TCU in 1935. The play starts at around 1:40

If we are talking 1982 season - this play might have been the most critical in SMU remaining unbeaten - and no - it is not the Leach return against Tech:

I loved the CJ 1980 run against UT, but I think the one I was most excited about at the time it happened was the Miracle on Mockingbird.

Hard to argue with the TCU victory that led to the Rose Bowl but I'll mentionthe score that tied us up with ND in 1949 and the winning score aganst UConn in 1989.

1924. The first and only TD of the SMU-Texas game that year.
This win was the first for SMU over the Longhorns.

SMU running back Logan Stollenwreck took a toss around left end for a couple yards and the only touchdown of the game midway through the third quarter. SMU held off a late charge by the Longhorns to win 10-6. The win put SMU's unbeaten streak at 14 games while ending Texas' at 12.

Definitely this one! Without this TD, No national championship & the SMU legend!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Just looking back on the past 2 years one of the most significantly underrated touchdowns should be the blocked kick returned for a touchdown against rice last year at the end of the first half. Without that blocked kick we could have potentially gone into the half down by 9 as opposed to being up by 1. We also only went on to win by just 3 points. Had it not been for that blocked kick for a td we only have been able to win 6 games in the regular season which as we know from the past 6 wins does not always grant us a bowl game
