San Diego State coach Brady Hoke?

seems like an odd, low profile hire. but i'll admit i don't know much about the guy.

Hillman (SDSU) #10 in country with 1532 yards (5.8 ypc)
Line #11 in country with 1494 yards (6.1 ypc)

pretty damn close

Zach Line one of 6 guys in the nation with 6+ yards per carry and at least 200 carries

impressive stuff.

because i think that's a lot more based on play calling and the rest of the team that ypc...

not saying you totally discount TDs, but would you rather have a guy who punches in a bunch of TDs from 1 yard out, or a guy who consistently gets yardage no matter where he is? Plenty of guys can get in from the 1...

6 games over 150 yards rushing (1-190, 2-225+) if you havent seen him play then you really have no idea what you are talking about. he definitely is not a "punch the ball in" type of running back.

only 6 of his TDs were from inside the 10 yardline... how about these numbers for "punches in a bunch of TDs from 1 yard out:
6
44
4
2
75
93

1
65
44

11
26
5
10
22
37
15

all those long [deleted] runs and all those TDs and he still had only 38 yards more than Line and a lower avg per carry?

interesting.

And no, I havent seen him play. Just bored.

i'm just saying that comparing one guy's total yardage and yards per carry to another guy's makes a hell of a lot more sense than seeing who scored the most touchdowns.

not saying he specifically scored all his TDs on 1 yard runs.

the team has to get you in scoring position. therefore you aren't comparing apples to apples.
