There was a big story in today's print version of the Dallas Morning News, too - Page 8C. Doesn't appear to have been posted online yet, which is curious.

There was something about this on the CW news at 9:00 last night. There's a big college football coach meeting at the Anatole this week, and the news feature discussed the College Football Assistance Fund to raise funds for atheletes who get badly injured while playing to help defer medical costs, etc. JJ was shown in a group photo with about 20 other people, and he explained a little bit about the mission of the organization. It's a nice thing that something is being done to help these student athletes who may never lead a 'normal' life again after being injured as seriously as they have been. (JJ wore a red SMU sideline shirt. No black yesterday.)

Here's one link I found, since the DMN is late to the party getting it online:

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootbal ... d-83019136

And some other related links I've located...

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/n ... injuryfund

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/01/11/ ... e-players/

And of course, the fund's website:

Yup - so totally missed that. So that's my one mistake for this year.
