Your name is picking up steam as a potential Big East school on our board. I started a post and the comments were mostly positive.
FWIW: Syracuse fans seem real receptive to a 1-2 punch (TCU/SMU) to help garner a significant share of the DFW market.

I'd like to see us, Houston and UCF all go. With TCU we can make a dent in the DFW market. Houston will give us support in Texas, and UCF is an obvious up and coming program.

game attendance isn't necc. the be all end all...
There is far more money in the TV deals which are accounted for by market not by fans...
SMU has a ton of value in the fact that its in a top 5 media market...If we continue to win, and then have a BCS busting season within the next 5 years we will be coveted...

Perhaps I’m just dumb, but I just can’t figure out why UCF is the anointed school on this board (or any board for that matter). Look, they’ve made great progress since the school’s founding in the 50’s and they have a monster student population, but so what?? They should be proud of the progress that they’ve made for sure. However, they’re close to 200 in the US News rankings with a $90 mill endowment (in a very weak Orlando market). Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean for this to come across as some arrogant SMU post; we should all congratulate them on the progress they’ve made in 60 years. I just feel SMU is a giant in the making and SMU nation certainly should be prepared to take on any school (younger than 200…). Plus, do we need to remind the world that SMU has won the conference Director's cup 11 out of the last 13 years (give or take)!?!?

Good thing she doesn't live off the lake in Indiana...I really want to buy a lake home over there but they get pummeled with lake effect snow in the winter....

Then you should certainly be a part of the large UCF nation that is proud of the school's progress (like I mentioned), but SMU is really in a rare position for long-term success (IMO).
Honestly I don't think anyone talks them up much except me.
When they play I wear both colors but root for SMU
