I was checking out the final 30 for 30 Podcast "30 for 30: Schell and Dahl" here

and at the 44 minute mark there is discussion about Pony Excess which I thought was interesting.

The Podcast was recorded before the TV premiere and just after the Lakewood Dallas showing.

The whole Podcast is interesting about how the series began and is worth listening in its entirety.
