I wonder if the story in the Dallas Morning Snooze was behind this tweet.? It talks about the great year that 8-5A MVP Hunter Lee had (5-11, 200, 4.5, benches 280, squats 520) but can't get a scholarship offer despite averaging over 100 yards rushing, catching 104 passes and scoring 38 touchdowns. College scouts have said that he isn't big enough or have breakaway speed. The article aslo points out several others who haven't gotten major offers such Coppell QB Joe Minden (6-3, 195, 4.9, Rivals 3 star 5.5, offers Stephen F. Austin and Air Force), who threw for 3,436 yards and 30 touchdowns for a 13-1 team; McKinney North defensive lineman Marcquel Sheppard, the District 10-4A defensive MVP, and Flower Mound Marcus running back Rufus Mason, who rushed for nearly 200 yards per game.

I was thinking the same thing, the kid from FM had the same measurables as McDaniel, MAC goes to Notre Dame and the Flower Mound kid staring at himself in the mirror thing what about McNeese State

This happens to a lot of kids every year. Don't have a big junior year and blossom as senior and fall through the cracks. Look at SMU walk ons like Barnes, Schick, Centers, etc. Probably should have had offers at some D1 schools.
