anybody notice at the bottom of the media release that SMU lists where the non-division games will be played. I hadn't seen it before. Good news and bad. Good News is we get UCF at home. Bad News we get 2 Road Games Memphis and a tough game in Hattiesburg. So the biggest challenge of the 2011 Schedule is the tough road games:
Texas A&M
TCU
Houston
Tulsa
Southern Miss
All those teams except Houston won 8+ games last year and finished in the Top 42 in Sagarin ratings and UH might have with Keenum who will be back. SMU plays the Top 4 programs in CUSA according to Sagarin (UCF, Tulsa, Southern Miss and Houston). I think Tulsa and UH spin off the Southern Miss/UCF gauntlet-another significant advantage for those teams

Tulsa will not be as good next year losing their HC and OC, Attheend of the day we have so much more returning talent then anyone we play in conference I think we will be ok

we seem to match up well with Tulsa and consistently find a way to beat them...wherever the game is played...and we owe Houston one

I thought we knew this already given that the home and road cross divisional games were the same last year and this year as they were the first two years we were in C-USA.
Maybe I missed it. How do we know Keenum gets to play next season?

NCAA gave Keenum another year. Announced 2 or 3 weeks ago I believe.

Don't worry. Keenum will be hurt by the time we play them.

On the Signing Day link it lists the TCU game as 10/10. That's a Monday I believe, did they maybe mean 10/1?

This will be the most difficult schedule since JJ's arrival. I hope it's his first double-digit win season as well. A&M is only 220 days away.

we are going to have a ton of experience on both the OL and DL next season and hopefully some depth. It's time for that breakout year. At some point, we have to start winning those games we aren't expected to. Opening win at A&M could set the tone for a very memorable season.

Sooo glad Von Miller won't be at aTm next year to pressure Kyle.

We need to step in up, in any case. Winning most of this games will demonstrate where we are in 2011.
