guess i'm not surprised that it happened, but really surprised it's not a student doing the heckling. while that still wouldn't be a good thing, i think that would be more expected.

That is just an embarassment - What kind a man would stand behind a fence and heckle players of a team you just best by three touchdowns? I guess the same kind that would get an anke tatoo. He's lucky one of them didnt come over the fence and knock his head off.

Something is wrong with the culture of your university community i that can happen in your stadium. I cant imagine anyone at SMU ever doing that - and if they did I would hope people standing around them would step in.

I can see it happening at SMU but certainly not from 2 old fat [deleted] who never played the game.

FIFY. SMU was a better program than TCU at that point.

Also, TCU was left to die in the WAC as well. Not the MWC.

As far as heckling goes, this is tame. Oklahoma fans and Arkansas in Little Rock was much worse than that. And as you drove into Austin the last time we played UT on the road, we were greeted with "5 cent pony rides" written in the stands. They didn't let up once the game started.

And SMU fans can be just as bad. I'm embarrassed to say but the last basketball game I went to was when Keith Van Horn was at Utah. We were students but we didn't let up on him. He had a good since of humor about it and laughed it off, but we were pretty raunchy.

Could it be that the officer was from Ft Worth and therefore wouldn't intercede on behalf of TCU's opponent? In any event, he performed poorly! I kept waiting for him to defuse the situation by telling that stupid TCU jerk to "SHUT THE F%#@K UP!

I'm all for a good heckle and it is fine fan to fan or from students - but a grown man to the other teams players after a beat down? That guy has got some personal inferiority issues to work out - and also some excessive drinking issues I would guess. He stood out even among TCU fans - which is no easy feat. A beat down of that guy would have been totally justified - and I am no Baylor fan.

Wonder if any of the dozens of froggies who lurk over here know the guy or his super classy very overweight friend who was saying he was going to turn in a report?
