Big 12 is adding a conference game next year.

i'd rather beat NW state then worry about a decent baylor team. eff the bears.

this was announced about 3 months ago. shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at this point.

To provide a better answer, the big xii is going to a 9 game conference schedule and every big xii team had to drop a nonconference game. Logically, every big xii team wanted to drop a road game as opposed to a home game. Thus, Baylor dropped the @ SMU game.

I have no problem with us playing a layup game on the schedule. We need a gimme. WHY IS THIS SO FREAKING HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

Can't argue with that. Plus, I have friends that went there, so it's gonna be great on the blvd that day.

Some people have no concept of scheduling. Yes, the Baylor/Big 12 issue caused the Bears to drop us. It probably was a blessing in disguise.

According to these knuckleheads, you would think that if SMU's non-conference schedule isn't consistently KU, TCU, Navy and A&M or whatever else along those lines then it's bad scheduling.

NO IT'S NOT!!

Look around college football where just about every Division I team plays one cornball non-conference game in a season to mix in with everything. You can play some decent non-conference teams but give your team a chance to catch its breath.

SMU should have started doing this last year. You need a game where you can evaluate what you are doing on the field, break a sweat, pick up a W and in the meantime, pay someone to kick their [deleted].

Now, if our fans are bent out of shape because it isn't an opponent they want to see, then that's troubling. I thought you bought tickets for the purpose of WATCHING THE MUSTANGS REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY PLAYED.
