Future scheduling of West Coast teams ?

Seems to me it can only help the recruiting in California and a new National Mustang Club for SMU to play PAC teams and other West Coast Div. 1 teams some in the future. This should increase exposure out their for SMU and create even more national interest in our school.

seems like a logical step.

too bad UCLA isnt on the schedule this year. I think we'd have a good showing against them. Maybe we can replace someone in 2012 with them.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if we scheduled a game in California against the likes of UCLA, SDSU, or Stanford.

It would create huge in roads for recruiting out there. Adrian Klemm is doing a masterful job recruiting out there. Be sure to subscribe to Rivals or Scout.com to read the latest recruiting info.

Get me back to San Diego with a game there. I miss my old 'hood in PB.

Plus, if you thought playing Tulane in an NFL stadium that had more people working than fans watching was fun, you're going to love a game at Qualcomm against SDSU.

First off, SDSU had one good season and lost their coach. So, I am not sure a game against them does us much good except perhaps in the recruiting angle. UCLA, Stanford, USC, Cal all bring something to the table in bragging rights. I think a nice mixture of east and west coast OOC opponents is great especially if the east coast OOC teams include Army and Navy. I would also suggest games against perhaps Maryland, the U, VT, and GT in the ACC.

I really don't see UCLA or USC having any interest in playing us. We are officially taking players that they have offered from their own backyard. For them, there is no advantage for either of those schools to play us. They win, they are suppose to win. They lose, it's a big deal and only perpetuates our recruiting efforts. SDSU, Fresno St, or maybe Cal makes sense and gives us an in to Cali.

Maybe the Arizonas -- both draw plenty of Calif kids. However, if you want the best high school players, stay in Texas and win. Play Baylor, TCU, Tech, Aggie, and see if the Cows want a turn. Would love to have played them last year. They truly sucked except for their games against Tech and Nebraska. They should be embarrassed to spend over 100 million and go 5-7 with 4-5 star recruits. I hope it happens again. It's really enjoyable when the only Bowl they deserve is the toilet. Go Cows Go!

Like the Frogs, I think the closest we'll ever get to TU again as for playing them is in a bowl game. If I was them, I wouldn't play us at all, PERIOD!!! Too big of a risk. The way they 'probably' look at it is why lower ourselves & play SM-whooo?

I'm down to see the Ponies against the middle of the Pac-10 (Cal, ASU, Arizona, UCLA) but I don't wanna see them go to Oregon, Stanford, or USC and get murdered. That would not help the recruiting effort there.
