Found a great table listing the number of returning starters for each team.
SMU tied for 9th most with 18 returning starters. (Didn't realize atm returning 19. gonna be a tough game)

We can beat them this year. I like our experience and think that our offense will be much more explosive next year.

We are getting there in experience. Still badly need depth. But progress is showing.

Still in the top 25, however dropped considerably considering they finished number 2 in most 2010 polls. Lack of returning starters big reason. We have a chance, but I would like our chance better if we were in Dallas and not Fort Worth:

I wonder if they will ever get smart and start the polls after 3-4 weeks into the season.

or use the rankings from the end of the previous season. so that bowl games mean something.
the preseason polls are ridiculous enough so it wouldn't really hurt anything. would it?

Makes too much sense. How many pretenders are there at the beginning of the year. How can you rate a team when there's on average 20% turnover? Supposedly, can't use last year's rankings, but they do. Wait 3-4 weeks then begin ranking and the rankings will be more true. Of course, then the BCS boys will play a weak non-conference schedule to ensure they are 4-0 when the rankings begin. Only true answer is PLAYOFFS!

we may always be a "recruiting class and a half away" from having the depth and experience we want

Look forward to the game in Ft. Worth this year. This is our best chance in many years to beat the Frogs. TCU will be very good again this year, but I am liking our chances. Can't wait for
October 1. I just hope ESPN does not move the game to a Thursday or Friday.

Game is going to be on the Mountain or Versus and most likely will be on Saturday.

This counts Special Teams (guessing P/K) as a category. Remove that and we're tied for 3rd most in the nation...

Is Loftus going to handle punts and kicks, or is he a true placekicker?

If that is the case then I will be able to make it to Ft. Worth for the game.
