SMU wide receiver Cole Loftin already had put in his time in the training room, after breaking a collarbone as a freshman two years ago. Loftin returned to the field in 2009, and was expecting to make significant contributions to the Mustangs' offense in 2010 until a torn knee ligament shelved him for the year before the season even started. Loftin visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the injury, what it was like watching last season instead of playing and what the rehab process has been like.

Enjoy!

This is great news — thanks for the report, PP.
Cole: here's to continued good health, and a strong return to the field.

He showed some flashes in his limited playing time, he could be a nice surprise this season.

I've always been a big fan of his. He's a tough kid. I really hope that he can contribute in 2011.

He showed some promise before he got hurt the first time, and anyone who can play with a broken bone of any kind is one seriously tough dude. Give 'em hell, Cole.
