It will be interesting going forward to see if anything comes out about these kids being paid to play. Much like a disgruntled David Stanley, if any of them were paid they may be selling their story right now. They need money for defense so they could be shopping University of Alabama attorneys.

Why did they feel the need to put that last sentence in there?

The others were described as black. Seems only right they would identify the other as white if he was. He also happens to be an Arkansas kid. Immediately after the arrest it was already being spun that he did not know anything wrong was taking place and was an innocent bystander.
