I only caught a piece of it. Any revelations?

I had to miss it. Was hoping someone would hear it and summarize.

I'm sure Norm asked him what is the athletic dept. working on to improve SMU football ticket sales this year ? Hopefully Orsini has some new marketing strategies beyond a new promotional video and the same things we have been doing the past few years which have not worked very well....As an example, the 17,000 in attendance with a called "white out" for Marshall last year in a sea of empty blue seats was not very impressive.

First strategy: hire a marketing department.
Second strategy: give marketing department a budget.

So did anyone actually hear his interview?

Heard the teaser for it but not the interview. He was brought on to talk about being on the selection committee. I'm not sure if anything regarding SMU was discussed.

I listened but was doing something else so I was half-listening. Also had to miss very end. It was all selection committee stuff as far as I could tell.

Wow, this thread is chaulk full of usefull information about what Orsini actually said!

Did not know he was on the selection committee but things he could have talked about:
-push for SMU FB season tickets
- SMU BB post season game
- Recent NCAA major basketball violation

that's all I got. I listened for about the first 10-15 minutes. it was all selection committee stuff, ie process of team evaluations, restrictions of lobbying for your own conference, etc. I switched it off after that, so dunno how it ended, but it seemed it was all going to be focused on that.

Same here. Lost interest after not hearing much about SMU after ten minutes.

Now we know how UAB got an invite...

All committee talk. No smu talk. Kind of surprised he/they didn't even mention the basketball game that was happening later that night at moody.
