The University of Central Arkansas is re-doing their artificial turf. It will have black end zones and alternating purple and gray strips every 5 yards, symbolizing their school colors. Many thought it was an April Fool's joke, but it is not. I personally think the rendition of the field looks kind of nice. If it were SMU, red and blue alternating might be a little to much, but the purple and gray seem to blend nicely and give a unique look.

Did they get this from TCU? Looks like the Minor League stuff they would pull. Of course if it were TCU they would put 'It hurts' & 'Good job Big XII (- ii)' in the Endzones.

It is novel...
Is it me or does this look like a test pattern on a black and white TV?
