One of my fondest memories from back in the day was when we were preparing for Texas one season. It was early in the week so a more intense practice. Nobody was in a ‘joyful’ mode. The men’s swim team was finishing up some workout on a field nearby. They gathered and began to sing “Texas Biteâ€. Sure brought a smile to my face and was inspirational as well. We really are a ‘team’.

Back in the day as a member of the swimming team we would start off the season with "dry land drills" prior to hitting the water. Exercise drills were held on the field at the corner of Bishop and Mockingbird, sometimes followed by weight training at the universal weight room in Ownby, and then, finishing up with a minimum of an around the campus jog. As a freshman, you were required to stand and perform pelvic thrusts, while singing Varsity, and sometime Texas Bites to the passing cars on Mockingbird Lane. Fond memories....Ponyte, glad you like our acapella (spl) renditions. Go ponies!
