SMU quarterback Kyle Padron met the media after Wednesday's practice to discuss a number of topics, including his injuries, a new form of technology that he and the other quarterbacks are starting to use as part of their training, his expectations for the offensive line, and his thoughts on running backs (and part-time linebackers) Darryl Fields and Kevin Pope, who are helping to fill in for injured Zach Line this spring.
Enjoy!

watch this video then watch one from two years ago. Kyle's growing up before our eyes. Not only physically, but from a maturity point of view. He even talked over Kate to curtail her questions a couple of times the way June does when he gets bored with a question...a good technique to use with reporters, not so good if you're in a depo.
Had no idea about the finger. One tough s.o.b. Good to here T Wilk is in camp

Not if he keeps staring down his primary receiver. Everyone in the stadium knows who he wants to throw to. If he can shake that habit, then he has a good shot at it.

You can only see the upper shoulders, but Kyle looks a lot bigger/broader shoulders.
Why is Larry Center Jr. out? I was looking forward to seeing him again.

It clicks this year for him. KP only has a few years' experience as a starter at any level - experience more important for him than most.

Maybe a Sophomore Slump....he has to be and will be much more savvy this year....let's have JJ let him play instead of that damn walk over...way tired and un-necessary. He is a great kid and this should be the year for him....

. I'm 100% down until I see the same performance as last year.

I keep having to remind myself that he has only had 2.5 years as a starter, including high school. Onward and upward, Kyle. Here's to a huge junior year.

Was he that bad? 31 touchdowns (#8 in the nation),14 interceptions (tie #15), and 3828 total yards (tie #9). Tied with Piland at Houston as the #43 best quarterback by quarterback rating.

No, he wasn't that bad, especially considering the QB play we have seen at SMU circa 2000 - 2005, but the offense didn't perform as well as it should have, we left a lot of points on the field, and dropped several games we shouldn't have, including that abomination that was a bowl game.
