How unfortunate. Especially the part about it being on CBS College Sports.
At least this past year's Friday night game was on ESPN.

This is beyond a stupid decision.
All the recruits will be playing and not coming to the game.
Crossing the Metroplex friday at rush hour will suck.
Its not even on ESPN but the Home Shopping Network.
It was stupid last year too.
Dont compete with friday night lights.

The people on killerfrogs are complaining that they can't get CBS College Sports. Isn't it pretty much a standard cable channel?

Not quite. I have Time Warner. It's available, but it's not on the regular channel tier. You have to pay an extra $10 a month for the "sports pack" to get it.

Didn't realize that. I have directv and am not sure if I pay extra for it. But I know I don't have a sports add-on.

I wonder how big an alottment SMU will even get to this game-not that we've ever sold half of our alottment anyway. I bet TCU has close to 25,000 Season Tickets this year especially with the seating crunch and the waiting list for the renovated stadium in 2012. I think they had 21,000 last year. About 20,000 TCU fans (they averaged 42,500 in 2010) either have to decide to buy season tickets this year or probably won't get in. With capacity to be from 30,000-32,000 seats in 2011, I'm sure SMU's tickets will probably be in endzone. Should be tickeet scalpers paradise next year.

I have no idea what our allotment has been in years past, but we always brought a good contingent to FW. Not sure how a Friday night game will affect either fan base.
I'll be setting up with a cooler in the early afternoon to avoid traffic.

If the two schools could work things out, the game should be moved back to Ford this year and then let TCU host SMU two years in a row. Friday night, CBS Sports is very disappointing.

It didn't deter either side last season.
I'm with you...do what they did last year. Except over there you have to set up in a parking lot and stare at yellow buildings and asphalt.

What do they do for students for this type of game? Are there buses that shuttle them to the game and is it easy for them to have a ticket in the student section or is there a lottery?
