TOM MASON: Calling in reinforcements

It's an annual rite of passage: every spring, college coaches bid farewell to their graduating seniors, and then scan the ranks of those players who will return the following year for replacements. SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason visited with PonyFans.com and discussed four players he said could help the SMU defense in the years to come, possibly as soon as 2011.

Cool story. It's always nice to read about young players who can fill the voids left by graduating starters.
Sounds like Coach Mason is really impressed with these guys. After seeing what he has done with our defense, if Coach Mason is impressed, I'm impressed.

I also like the fact that LB Reid says the biggest difference on D this year is more SPEED.

and more Depth in key positions.....and don't forget all the quality freshmen coming in this summer. If the QB and WRs produce more this year, I think we really could have our best team since the early 80s this year.
