As a USC alum I respectfully beg to differ.
I was at the Spring Game Saturday and the Trojan Offense is lacking in both depth and skill.
Although the Defense looked good they were playing the USC Offense after all!
The recruiting sanctions are starting to be felt.

Obviously, I think we all see where you are coming from but even USC is different from these other big schools that don't get in trouble we are talking about. USC is basically a successful SMU (granted I will give you that USC is so much more visible in that it basically functions as LA's football team and recently was almost a dynasty). But still, USC is a private school comparable in size to SMU, with plenty of cash and a great reputation as an institution aside from football. A hurting football program is not going to really mess with USC all that much. Sure, it sucks, but USC is fine and most people have started to forget aside from USC people and sports journalists. My point I guess is, the NCAA isn't really [deleted] too many people off by coming down on USC. It is a big story, but in the end there really are not that many people (when looking across the landscape of big teams in Col FB) that went to USC and are truly directly affected by the sanctions.
Think about the complete poo show that would ensue if something similar happened to a massive state school like Ohio State or Florida, I am not even thinking DP here, just USC sanctions or even something lesser. I am sure the shear quantity of people that would upset, by itself, terrifies the NCAA.
