Haven't made it to my school. SMU competitors UTEP, TCU, A&M, have. Colorado, OK State, Wash. St, La Tech, Boise St, UNT, have set up shop here it seems and we have not so much as heard from SMU. I'll admit that Frisco ISD is not a football powerhouse but being one of six high schools and the only one with recent success, you would think we would at least warrant a visit.

Oh come on-7 days is plenty of time for SMU to "finish up" their DFW recruiting tour of 140 Division 1A prospects. Its time to head back to the French Quarter.

Me - which school?

Have you contacted the Coaching Staff to see what's up? That's nuts they haven't even been around.

Sounds like SMU might be in good company if they made the journey out to Frisco. Me, have you been on the recruiting aspect of the SMU Athletic website?

What is allowable communication between boosters and possible recruits? I really am curious, but I feel, if you don't know the answer definitively, you should cease communication with Me. Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but I honestly don't understand the rules.

Refer his comments to the school and move on.

I could be wrong but I think Me is a coach, not a player. But yes, do not be contacting players if you are connected to SMU. And that includes students and graduates.

Yes, Me is a coach at Liberty High School in Frisco. No I have not called the staff because as much as I would love to see them here, they seem to be doing ok without my help. Bothers me that they haven't come around but ultimately they probably know more than me.

No offense but I think that the wrong attitude for Smu and your school/players...

If it can benefit both parties I think most on this board would appreciate you reaching out.

Good luck.

Absolutely - especially is there are kids you think might fit SMU well, contact the coaches with specifics.

My bad. I clearly misread it. What about rules governing boosters talking to HS coaches? Anything to note?

I'm not going anywhere near this with my SC signature line.

We (USC) have enough on our plate already!
