I am impressed that so many of our defensive players are considered for this honor. When was the last time 7 of our D players were considered in the top 4 honors teams of conference?

The main thing is that preseason rankings like this show whether or not you are being recognized, and we are. The post season will hopefully have some move up and none move down.

Our quarterback or a receiver will be right there in the running for first team. Maybe both. We win all our conference games and that will definitely help push em to the 1st team.

Not that it matters. I'd be more than happy to beat all their butts and have no one on any of the all-conf. teams.

4 1st team, 4 2nd team and 6 3rd team selections. If we have that much talent relative to our competition, should we expect no worse than a return to the CUSA Championship Game? Let's hope we have more depth this year and can survive the injuries that are part of the game

If we can stay healthy, I would think that's in reach. Can't say I "expect" it — Tulsa should still be good, and with Case Keenum back, UH should be pretty tough — but it certainly isn't unreasonable to expect a return trip to the C-USA title game.

Listen it's time to "expect" a big step this year, we have a returning offensiveline and our big skill position players are now all upper classmen, not to mention the defense looks ice cold in the front seven if players improve as you'd expect after another year. I know after 20 years of terrible its hard to expect anything other than bad things to happen but just like the team needed to learn to win and believe in themselves we fans should learn to expect great things from our team
