I was at the game and the second half was difficult to watch. Navy played their hearts out. They are a class act and everyone should visit Annapolis at some point. The Ganz Trophy is becoming a great tradition and I hope we maintain this home and home series.

You know, I may take some flak for this, but I'm okay without doing another game in Annapolis for a while. Yes, it's beautiful, go and visit. It's a wonderful, charming, great city with a ton to do, and the Academy grounds are simply gorgeous. Also, Navy always plays a good game and the team/coaches are class acts.

However, color me unimpressed with the fans and graduates that choose to attend ball games there. I can think of many other places that have had friendlier, nicer, more welcoming, more informed fans that add to the overall experience, even if that experience is one of hostility. Can't all sit around, holding hands, singing kumbaya. Having seen multiple USNA football games, they fall short. I'll leave it at that.

Plus, you have to deal with that gimmicky offense, and the cut-blocks, and the fact we never seem to beat them...they do travel well though.

You are not alone in your sentiments stlhockeyguy. Props to Navy etc and their dedication and sacrifices, but last years sojourn to annapolis was my last.

Hattiesburg, Huntington, Greenville? I'll take door # 4, Annapolis. If I am going to an Away game from Chicago, USNA is a great trip. And, yes, Navy travels well and Ford gets a bigger turnout.

Huntington was one of the better road trips in recent memory, IMO. To each his own

I have made the Navy trip 3 or 4 times since 1993, great trip each time, but, I have to agree with you, there was something special about that Marshall trip. By far, the friendliest people, were in Huntington.

ECU fans were the friendliest I've met. Very welcoming bunch. Navy fans were, and have been, awful.
