KEVIN POPE: Moving into position

After spending his freshman season as a backup running back, Kevin Pope was one of two players to split time during spring workouts between running back and linebacker. After seeing how well he did during spring workouts, the SMU coaches have officially moved Pope to defense. Pope visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the move, how the SMU defense differs from the defense he played in high school ... and how he still might impact the SMU offense.

Not surprised, and I think he can actually get some time at LB. Guess this means Fields is staying at RB, which makes me REALLY happy
