Another missed marketing opp

Between the 1st and 2nd qtr at mavs game, a video montage featured clips from the following people talking up the mavs:

Ron Washington
Emmit smith
Troy aikman
Daryl Johnston
Mike modano
Roger staubach
Tony Dorsett
Nolan Ryan
And..
Gary Patterson

That doesn't fall on SMU, as June would have to be asked to do something like that.
The blame for that falls on the Fort Worth ... er, "Dallas" ... Mavs.

I'd have thought that June should have been asked, and certainly someone from SMU should have been on that video to represent thwe only D1 school in the hometown of the Mavericks. I know that GP had great success in the Rose Bowl last year, but I'm not sure he is more famous than JJ. More recently famous perhaps, but I don't think anyone would have thought it unmerited if JJ had been on that video.

I was pissed.

All of the others have won something in the Dallas area. JJ doesn't deserve to be up there yet. Neither does ED for that matter. I thought everyone included had earned it and had no problems with it.

that Special D. went tothe Mavs game Sunday night wearing a Mavs shirt and

a Mustang cap.
