E.S.P.N.2 just had a short story about that, nothing will ever happen though.

Now Alex. This poor Baylor girl must be mistaken. These things couldn't happen under St. Mack or Uncle DeLoss.

Right.
DAle Hansen got with media in Austin in the 80's about Texas.. GREAT lead story...
Funny thing, all the players involved and boosters could not be found. Players left and boosters silenced.
Austin is clean and WEIRD.

Not surprising, so now Texas State needs to be really worried. The NCAA guys will have to investigate them in order to deflect attention at Austin. By the way, with the TV contract the Whorns have, they had better spend a little of it on additional compliance staff for their sports. Otherwise, that TV contract could go poof if a couple of over aggressive boosters decide to supplement player living expenses. And even that self-congratulatory letter posted by the UT walk-on says nothing about meals, drinks, etc., being paid for by boosters. UT may take compliance seriously, but I sure where there is smoke, there is fire in this case.

From the NCAA website, Enforcement section, latest news and recent cases:
“The University of Texas has demonstrated its commitment to compliance with the rules and has been one of the NCAA’s most ardent supporter of member institutions' accountability. Unlike other programs that consistently violate NCAA rules such as Southern Methodist University (see decision issued 3/10/2011), the University of Texas has always set a standard of exemplary ethics and compliance. The allegation that current and former University of Texas student-athletes might have received impermissible gifts from boosters and alumni is a serious accusation. This accusation is hearsay from a non player/booster/coach/university official. Therefore, it is without any creditability and requires no further inquiry.â€
Looks like the NCAA was aware and has dealt with this already.

How would you like to have been a fly on the wall in the McCoy household when Colt returned home after the wife's radio announcement...

I'm sure the NCAA will disregard this. After all she's blonde and she's from Baylor. The pointy-headed academics at the NCAA will clearly not give her any credence once the put down the porn mags sent to them by Anthony Weiner.

If this is indeed an official statement (perhaps the ponyte is makign a joke here - but I don't have time to look this up) - Anyone else find it a bit odd that SMU would be singled out in an official statement from the NCAA? I would insert a number of other schools into the statement ahead of SMU.

Whorens cheating?- not to worry. Our official 'orange blood' who poses as a red 'n blue (with a tint of ft. worth purple) booster has assured us that there is absolute institutional contro in austinl.
I suspect what is really meant is that Mack and Deloss have informed the whoren alums who is to get paid, what cars they are to receive, who gets free meals and clothes and what players get what trips (elk hunting in Hawaii? really?). That is indeed institutional control.
GO PONIES!!!
