Of course I lollygagged and didn't book my room when there were plenty of decent options, and now all that is left is 2 star and below or I can pay 4 and 5 star prices for a Holiday Inn....

Did anyone book an extra room or two at a decent place they no longer need and are willing to transfer over to me? If so , please PM me.

Thanks.

The holiday inn isn't horrible. Right off Texas if I recall correctly. They have a suite with a hottub. Not worth 4 or 5 star prices though.

Try Comfort Suites on University or the Hampton Inn on 6 at University. Have stayed in both, like CS better. Only problem is that most hotels down there have a 2 night minimum and most jack up the rates for game day. Good luck.

While in College Station enjoy some pre-game atmosphere at the Dixie Chicken.

Hint: Avoid wearing anything remotely resembling the colors...Red & Blue.

* A public service announcement

I need the cd and I have decided to leave the white pants at home since it will be hot. I will wear the open butt chaps.

So wearing Red/White & Blue is something to be avoided at A&M?

Another option would be to drive straight to the game which is not until 600 pm, than just drive to Austin and spend Sunday night their. You can probably stay in a 3/4 Star hotel for less in Austin than a 2 Star in College Station on Sunday night.
