Alright, enoughAfter weeks of hearing frog season ticket ads on The Ticket, this morning I heard one for NTSU.
Guess we're waiting for operation yard sign again in the fall Last edited by RGV Pony on Thu Jun 16, 2011 8:26 am, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Alright enough
I guess we're trying to keep this season a secret. When the games get here, and the stadium is half full, then SMU will be back to guilt tripping, and begging the loyal base for yard signs, buying extra tickets etc... Will SMU ever get it?
Re: Alright enoughDon't forget the sponsor a hood bus. -:)
Even with her faults I still eagerly await the season.
Re: Alright, enoughI guess we could put the yard signs on the backs of our cars.

Re: Alright, enoughI was told recently by a wise man that "If you think we aren't aware of it, or we haven't thought of it, you're wrong. If you think we have the money for it, you're still wrong." Take it for what it's worth.
Re: Alright, enoughRumor has it SMU spent a ton of money upgrading the athletic administrative offices a few years ago. That's just one of many expenses that could have been reduced or eliminated in order to have an actual marketing budget.
Re: Re: Alright, enough
Sell some sponsorships. I'll bet the freaking grand prairie airhogs have a corp sponsor or two (or three) that underwrites some of their expenses. "Coming to you live from Ghengis Grill Plaza at SMU's Ford Stadium" MetroPCS Ford Stadium Pizza Patron Blvd
Re: Re: Alright, enough
We should take it a step further and sell sponsorships of sections of the stadium. Sewell Automotive Section 103 AT&T Section 106 NTTA Invites You to Use Highway 121 Section 121

They can cater, provide waitresses, and everything
Re: Alright, enough
I heard the same NT ad during the Musers show this morning. I just laughed and shook my head. Rich enough to replace the turf and locker rooms, but no spare change for a billboard or 15 sec radio spot. As for stadium-related sponsors, it should be a milk company. Our crowds have been 'missing' for two decades now. ![]()
