Season Tix Count

A little birdy in the ticket office told me that we are "hoping" to reach 8,500 this year, but not there yet. This home schedule has got to be killing us. Damn you, Baylor!

Sounds like an imporvement. How does this compare to previeous years? And a bit more than a quarter of the seats are sold sound better than in the past.

8,500 would be an imporvement. With a bowl trip to Hawaii and next year's schedule (including the home game in San Antonio) we oughta top 12,000 for the 2012 season.

IF we move the home game to SA (and a no-brainer if we dont), require fans-o-Aggy to buy season tix in order to be able to buy a ticket to that game. Or only as a part of a 3-game miniplan, check here if you would like your tickets to the two other home games to be donated to a deserving DISD kid.

Brilliant! Sounds Baylor-ish - I like it.

Tulsa played OU and OSU at home a few years back. Tulsa sold its tickets as a package deal so one had to buy both the OU and OSU game tickets.

All our good games are away.

I would expect decent attendance at Family Weekend, Homecoming and Navy.

We should be up to at least $10K as a minimum.

Pony Up folks -- geez

I think season attendance will be down this year unless we beat A&M or TCU. We don't have TCU or Tech to pad the numbers

Will there be another operation sell out?

Sure, they'll have a "pack the house" event, but they had one in every sport. It's safe to assume they will again.

Did some digging.
The SMU preview in the DMN last fall said we gained 1,300 new season ticket holders for the 2010 season, which gave us a total of about 7,500.
So the goal of 8,500 season ticket holders for 2011 seems reasonable, given that there aren't any marquee opponents and our history of selling season tickets.

Its reasonable-but in TCU's 3rd year of TCU's turnaround counting from first bowl game TCU was at 13,802 season tickets-about 40% higher. SMU's attendance problems are largely the result of lack of support from our own core alumni family and friends-that too will have a large effect on how far and how high this program can go.

Completely agree with you there. Two decades of damage trying to be repaired.
