MICKEY DOLLENS: Olympic hopeful

With the exception of those who go on to make a living in their chosen sports, graduation means the end of their time as athletes. But that is not the case for former defensive tackle Mickey Dollens, who followed his graduation from SMU this spring by trying out for a spot on the U.S. Olympic bobsled team. Dollens visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how his training differed from his football training, his first bobsled combine and what he plans to do before heading to Lake Placid, N.Y. in October.

Enjoy!

The last Olympic Bobsledder wannabe I could name was another football player, name of Herschel Walker, Georgia All American and Heisman winnner.

Here's hoping Mickey Dollens will be the next and that he will come homewith a medal.
