They started with 120 and have revealed a team everyday. Per today, SMU still has not been revealed making us the top team (in terms of ranking) in C-USA.

45. UCF Despite some key personnel losses, especially on defense, UCF has the talent to repeat as C-USA East Division champs and even as the league champ.

46. Houston The Cougars were a BCS bust last season, but quarterback Case Keenum is back from injury and they should be on the prowl again.

47. Tulsa Assuming the Golden Hurricane are as smooth offensively under the new staff as they were with the previous one, Tulsa should vie for the C-USA title.

My money is on the fact they forgot us. Either that, or whoever is putting the list together has both convenient amnesia of last year, and a hell of a crystal ball for this year.

I don't think they forgot us. We're going to be the highest ranked C-USA team on the list because we return 18 starters (most in the conference) and they're putting a ton of stock into that. I think at the very least UCF and Houston should be ahead of us.

Sounds reasonable to me. Offensively, the line will be much better, Kyle will be much better. WR are the unknown, but I trust June and Jeff to find people there and between Holman, JJ, DJ, and Beas we have some good athletes. I think we definitely take a step or two forward offensively.

Defensively, we will be much better on the line, and significantly better in the secondary. To put that latter comment in perspective, last year Bennie Thomas was the number 3 corner, this year he would be running number 5, maybe even 6, even with the loss of Sterling Moore. Fleps will be replaced with a better player (he worked hard and did a great job last year, not knocking hiim), the hole is Youri's loss. Overall, the improvement in the line and secondary will allow the defense to take a step forward.

Don't forget that even with all of the offensive inconsistencies last year, if KP and Moore are healthy for the year, we win the west easily and win the conference championship game. And the team is going to be much better than that this season. Harder schedule, yes, but a significantly better team. I think our only losses are at A&M, TCU, and Houston. And TCU and Houston will be very competitive football games. I would certainly put us in the top 40 of the country.
