Ohio State vacates victories

Postby mrydel » Fri Jul 08, 2011 1:12 pm

OK. So Ohio State self imposes penalties including vacating all wins in 2010 and the Sugar Bowl. I suppose Arkansas has to give it's money back from the Sugar Bowl since apparently it did not take place. Vacating wins is one of the most useless penalties which has ever been conceived.

But in a very "get tough" move, OSU waives Tressell's $250,000 fine and changes his resignation to a retirement. Wonder why he has now agreed to testify on behalf of OSU?

I'm a bit shocked. In all our many hours together of discussing SMU and college football, I would never imagine you to post such a biased and cynical post.

I take great offense as only I am allowed to post such a cynical post!

And now that that radio power house MSU announcer is retired, I am not sure I can endure a car ride without him and your cynical attitude.

:P ;-o

It is the off season. This is the time to get things back in order mentally and physically, and hopefully recruit another fireball announcer for the trips. :D

Ok, I will reconsider. By the way, as cynical as we are, we do need a Whole Hog day to work out our potential travel plans (I know we have discussed, oh so briefly, more protracted venture). I need some lead time to work out details. And I would like to discuss the MSU weekend and the possibilities we can offer to our out of town guest.

With our first game away I guess I will not be invited to help your daughter move in this year. But just in case, I will touch base with you next week about a Whole Hog meeting.

If you have a burning desire to help move her, I imagine we can make it happen. You can go in my place even, Look forward to lunch next week.
