As he gets ready for the 2011 season, SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason has to find a replacement for graduated linebacker Youri Yenga, one of the Ponies' best defensive players last season. Playing with the first-team defense at the end of spring drills was Victor Jones, who played inside linebacker when he arrived at SMU. Jones visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the injury that cost him most of the 2009 season and his outlook for the 2011 season.

If he and Cam Rogers come through, we'll have the best front seven in the conference. And now we're starting to get the all-important depth, which hasn't been seen around here in ages.
