Austin American Statesman started their Top 25 countdown today, and guess who checks in at #25? Your UT longhorns! This made me laugh. They have the opposite media coverage of what SMU gets up here, although when we were good in bball in 2000, the DMN ranked us 23 I think in their preseason poll, so they can show love if we show some talent.

For the first time since Brown's UT debut in 1998, the Longhorns are missing from various preseason Top 25 lists. In most Big 12 polls, they are ranked no higher than fourth and as low as seventh in the new-look 10-team league.
