June Jones: SMU starting to believe, 'You can see that swagger, that walk'

This shouldn't come as a surprise -- a June Jones offense is poised to put up huge offensive numbers in 2011.

Since taking over as head coach at SMU in 2008, Jones has led the Mustangs to consecutive bowl appearances, a significant accomplishment for a program that went nearly 25 years without a bowl bid.

SMU enters the new season with arguably the most talented group in Conference USA. However, the Mustangs have a difficult road schedule to navigate.

Sure is a lot of positive pub this year. I haven't seen DC's Texas Football but 8-4 prediction isn't too shabby with our schedule.

Yes...bring that winning attitude team leaders. Confidence/swagger is contagious.

This is what should be expected from an upperclassman team. We have not had a Jr at QB in a long time.

we'd better have some swagger with as many returning starters and 4th and 5th year players as we have in the 2-deep. It's time to produce.

Can't help but think back on that 1992 squad that avenged the Houston embarrassment and finished 5-6, despite being over matched talent wise. Experience counts, and this team has experience...and is not as over matched talent wise as we have been in the past.

fact. great to see June's opening up to the media too.

They had plenty of swagger as they confidently strutted onto the field for the Armed Forces Bowl too.

I think swagger is a bit overrated.
