Jerry Hughes, Stephen Hodge arrested for public intoxication

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Jerry Hughes(notes) and former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Stephen Hodge(notes) were arrested early this morning in Dallas at The Bank nightclub.

Accoding to WFAA, Hughes, Hodge and TCU defensive tackle Cory Grant were arrested and charged with public intoxication at 2:30 a.m. in downtown Dallas.

Per the report, police observed a disturbance in the club that spilled out onto the sidewalk.

Like Grant, Hughes and Hodge played at TCU.

Hughes was drafted in the first round last year and had a quiet rookie season.

And Hodge is a former Cowboys draft pick who was cut last November after never playing in a game in two seasons due to injuries.

Just messin' with ya Reed. By the way, I don't see the word "suspicion" in the article anywhere.

No problem! I like some good-natured ribbing. FYI I saw the article in the Star-Telegram posted below....

A former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, an Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman and an ex-Texas Christian University defensive tackle were arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of public intoxication near a Dallas nightclub.

Dallas police identified the men as former TCU standouts Jerry Hughes, 22; Cory Grant, 23; and Stephen Hodge, 24. Today is Hodge’s birthday.

The incident was reported about 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Main Street in Dallas near The Bank nightclub.

Dallas police working the area observed a disturbance that had started in the nightclub and continued onto a sidewalk.

Three men accused of being involved in the incident were subsequently arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. The men were taken to the Dallas City Detention Center.

if what you mean is that they won't make it to a bowl this year, then yes

Every recruit should be required to read this article...why were the three frogs forced to party in Dallas? The biggest thing to happen in Ft. Worth in a decade was ESPN's broadcast of ESPN radio in Sundance Square during Super Bowl week.

My Trojans are emulating UT as well...

USC tailback Marc Tyler is suspended for season opener, and perhaps longer

Tyler, USC's leading rusher last season, was shown on TMZ.com making comments deemed inappropriate by the university.

Responding to questions on camera outside a nightclub last week, Tyler, 22, made a suggestive comment about USC running backs and reality-television personality Kim Kardashian, suggested a sexually explicit acronym for USC, and said Trojans football players were paid more than pros.

Grief!
