SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Because we are going to win, but has anyone heard of a projected opening line?
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Over on the TAMU Bored, the posters were saying it was around 14 points

Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Used to love to beat A&M, but now they maybe my new heros standing up to the orange smurfs.
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...As much as I want to say we will win, its going to take a hell of a lot of things going SMU's way and everything going wrong for A&M in order for SMU to win. We have a lot of talent and starters coming back, but for every guy we have returning, they have another guy just as good if not better, and with starting experience. My earliest prediction- A&M 35 SMU 20

Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...
That's a helluva lot better than 66-8. I'd take it. ![]()
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Screw that. Like June said it's time to stop acting like we are overachievers. Let's win this thing and set the tone for our breakout season.
SMU 31 Aggy 27 Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Amen.......
SMU 38 ATM 24
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...I am going to refrain from making any type of prediction until at least the middle of August. TAMU is obviously more athletic, deeper, and more talented, but they are tend to blow the cake when they have any type of hype surrounding the program.
JJ has yet to have a true signature win, and I am hoping that the team takes the next step, and gets that in Aggie Land. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Turnovers. Change the turnovers against TTU last year and JJ might have had his signature win. We are better and A$M is probably better than TTU last year. However, if we can win the turnover game, our D plays solid and doesn't give up big plays, we can win. And Padron will not be a shaky Soph this year.
We have played in front of big crowds and not so friendly crowds so I think we will not be intimidated by the Aggie crowd. On paper we may well deserve the 2 TD underdog status. But JJ puts together great game plans, A$M doesn’t see our style offense very often and we have an improved D. We do have a good chance in this game but we once again have to put together the mistake free game with some breaks to get the win.
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...Amazing how terrible we were last year on turnover +-, and still won some games...We get into top 40 in that category and double digit wins are possible...
SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...
This is the type of attitude that needs to be eradicated from the program. I'll never "take it" when it comes to a loss. 60 points or 1 point, it's still a loss. That sentiment makes me so mad. #NewLobCity
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...I'd like to see us start to hit on all cylinders. Think June's Hawaii team pounding BYU. Or when Leach's Tech teams started to hang 70 on Nebraska. The defense we will have is better than the D on either of those teams.
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...I would not be surprised to see an old fashioned shoot out. A&M will try and ground game us to death. They go on a 25 play drive for a TD. Six plays later, we tie the game. They go on another 25 play drive for a TD. Five plays later, we score, and so on. After a while that type of quick strike ability, will start to quiet Kyle Field.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: SMU v ATM...Not that it matters...
It will also wear our D down. By the fourth quarter we will be out of gas on D, so it will become an out and out shoot out. The deciding factor will be whether or not June's offense can out score the aggies. Play like we did in the Hawaii Bowl and it is a possibility. I'm not saying we will, but how sweet it would be. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
