it's a great challenge to try and quiet that "12th man"

I remember the aggie faithful standing and yelling when they were down to the Pony Express by something like 47-0 in Texas Stadium back about the time Jackie Sherrill arrived. They do have a cult like following

Yes, they have both of those rb's returning. With 18 starters and both kickers, along with 85,000 cult followers, this will be a gigantic challenge. Pony Up!

No doubt a tough match, I hope that having Pittman back will help our D with the running game. Here's to beating the aggies!

Go Ponies!

For the second straight season Texas A&M running backs Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael were selected as candidates for the prestigious Doak Walker Award as the PwC SMU Athletic Forum announced its official list of preseason candidates Friday.

What is the A&M Desoto connection? Quite a few starters from Desoto.

I'm more concerned about their tall WR's than I am about their running game.

Desoto just puts out a ton of D1 players. I don't think A&M has anymore of a connection with them than anyone else. They send kids all over Texas.

yes, 2 are 6 '4, the rest are over 6 feet.
Our whole defense will have their hands full.

Swope is back and people are predicting big things for him, he's also a serious threat as a WR in the flat

Hey Pony fans, Oklahoma State fan here swinging in to say good luck against A&M. I hope you guys mop the field with them. Been a big June Jones fan for years, got a little upset when you guys pulled him from Hawaii. I was stationed there for 6 years and enjoyied what he did for the Warriors. He's got you guys turnaround and headed in the right direction too. :D

Wassup ponyfans? Just wanted to say I'm personally looking forward to a fantastic, hard fought game with (hopefully) no injuries. Both our squads have some promise this year, and this first game should be a great litmus test. Disappointed I'll be missing this game--last time I saw the Ags play SMU in person was back in that fateful game in '94 when y'all caught us looking. Hoping Sherman has the Ags ready and respectful of y'all this first game out, otherwise I have no doubt y'all will capitalize.

Regret I won't be attending this game (my time as a student has come and gone), but for those of you going to Aggieland, I wish y'all safe trips and a great time in what truly is one of the most unique venues in college football. Win, lose, or draw, you're in for a treat. Wear your colors proudly and visit as many tailgates as you can!
