STERLING MOORE: All the way backCornerback Sterling Moore's career at SMU had its highs and lows. When healthy, he was one of the Ponies' top defensive playmakers, but he suffered three knee injuries in his two seasons on the Hilltop. The injuries never stopped his dream of reaching the NFL, however, a goal he reached Tuesday when he signed a contract with his hometown Oakland Raiders. Moore visited with PonyFans.com to discuss his reaction, the competition he'll face in the Oakland secondary and his impressions of his Hall-of-Fame position coach.

Re: STERLING MOORE: All the way backMixed results so far:
Naturally, Moore was just getting warmed up. A short while later, Moore did an out-and-up that left cornerback Sterling Moore flat-footed, out of position and out of luck, as Moore sprinted into the open for a long touchdown reception from Jason Campbell. “I swear, if (Denarius Moore) runs one more out-and-up, double move or corner-and-up, I’m (going to ) kill someone!!!†Sterling Moore Tweeted after practice. and *Sterling Moore is making quite an impression himself. Twice, he ran stride for stride with Denarius Moore and prevented him from making even more backbreaking plays. Moore is the kind of player the Raiders are looking for in light of Nnamdi Asomugha signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is competing against the likes of Van Dyke, Chimdi Chekwa, Walter McFadden and Jeremy Ware for backup spots and playing time. http://www.ibabuzz.com/oaklandraiders/2 ... nd-quotes/
Re: STERLING MOORE: All the way backFriday
*Rookie cornerback Sterling Moore quickly is asserting himself as a player to watch. He intercepted an Edwards pass on one play an broke up a deep pass on another one. He said he welcomes the challenge, especially when he is lined up against the other Moore, “that man again.†“Yeah, we go at it every day,†Sterling Moore said. “Sometimes, we’ll stay after practice and work on our own releases. So, we’ve got a little thing going where it’s a little rivalry. He got the best of me (Thursday), and I got him in one-on-ones a couple days ago, so we go back and forth.†http://www.ibabuzz.com/oaklandraiders/2 ... -quotes-4/
Re: STERLING MOORE: All the way backSaturday
*Rookie cornerback Sterling Moore turned in one of the plays of the day once again when he raced to snare a pass that hit off receiver Nick Miller’s hands twice before it hit the ground for another interception. http://www.ibabuzz.com/oaklandraiders/2 ... -quotes-5/
