Does that mean the Big 12 will be:
NORTH - Kansas, Kansas St., Boise State, Air Force, Colorado State and Iowa St.
SOUTH - Tulsa, SMU, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, UTEP or Rice.
I could live with this realignment so long as it is BCS - AQ.

I don't see the SEC expanding beyond one or two teams, and in that scenario, OU and A&M make the most sense. Mizzou and OSU would have trouble hanging with a full SEC slate on a year in, year out basis.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Speculation like this leads to one wondering the face of college football in the big conference era. Big East merges with ACC. PAC X+II merges with Mountain West and TTU. SEC scoops up 4 Big XII-II teams and Big X+II eats up Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State. UT becomes and independent dependent on little conference schools like SMU, Idaho, La Tech and MeNeese.

Here is Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star's take on the Big XII-II

The big XII-II is like watching a car wreck in super slow motion over a long period of time. We all realize the significance of rivalries, but in this conference it seems the people who are supposed to be adults hate the rivals as much as the kids. At the drop of a hat they will slam each other and that starts the slow motion footage all over again. I almost feel bad for the President of Iowa State because athletically/geographically his school should just be happy to have a home and he cannot join in the fun.

Being a SMU fan and sitting on the outside looking in, I am not sure if I want to see this train actually wreck. It is wrong to take this much pleasure in their dysfunction?

If the Big Ten doesn't want Mizzou, why would the SEC? I can see the SEC having interest in A&M, OU and even OSU, but wouldn't there be someone in the ACC that is more attractive than Mizzou?

If all four schools left for the SEC, three programs, save for the occassional upset, would never be heard of again.

If these schools are fed up with UT's arrogance and recruiting, wait until they join the SEC where recruiting is done with cash.
