We weren't picked to win it last year, either, and we're a better team this year.

Last year they were predicting with a heathly Case Keenum. This year is no different. We beat Houston and we win the division. If Case is back to his old self that will be tough. Just was you suggest we are better so is Houston.

We can promote it as the Dyslexia Bowl.

The margin between Houston, Tulsa and SMU is insanely close for a media poll.
Houston - 127 points (12 first-place votes)
Tulsa - 117 points (8 first-place votes)
SMU - 116 total points (4 first-place votes)
Only 11 points separating the top 3 in the west division.

Why are they using the Tulsa World as their reference point?

Although Keenum is a really good QB, a year without game speed should be a hindrance. Plus, what is returning for him? I don't pay attention much to the other rosters so I have no idea if his key guys will be back.

He will never be what he could have been prior to the injury. He will think about it, he will hesitate; defenses will pursue the wounded prey. It’s really sad what’s going to happen to him when Marcus turns the corner, and hits him with the discus arm.

As long as he doesn't miss the sack by a mere finger length in their own end zone on 4th down and then they complete a 26 yard pass, ultimately rallying and winning the game...
Ah, memories as an SMU fan!

UH lost to Tulsa at home last year and has them in Tulsa this year. G.J. Kinne is tough.
Most of SMU's tough conference games are on the road (Tulsa, Houston, USM) and then TCU and A&M are on the road. Seems like Tulsa should be the favorite in the West with UH and SMU at home.
