YOURI YENGA: Ready to take flight

Lightly recruited and a veteran of multiple coaching staffs, defensive schemes and positions, Youri Yenga signed Tuesday with the Atlanta Falcons. Yenga visited with PonyFans.com to discuss his reaction to getting signed to a professional contract, and how he got through the long waiting period while NFL owners and players hashed out a new collective bargaining agreement.

I remember when eveyone from the new coaching staff was realy talking him up. Thought he may have been more of a blue chip guy.

Sounds like he's going to need that degree. Did he get it?

He had a limited football background before he got to SMU, and has really come a long way.

JJ always said he had the potential to play at the next level. It's great to see that he's being given the opportunity to further prove it. How can you not pull for a guy like this!
